Sales Manager for SanDisk

In this position, the individual will be responsible for managing the Eastern Region and will be based in Kolkata.

The individual will be responsible for sales team planning and implementing retail sales activities to achieve maximum market penetration for all of the company`s products in retail channels in assigned markets.

The individual will develop and implement programs that maximize both short- and long-range objectives as well as managing day-to-day operating issues and providing strategic direction.

Drive sales growth through existing distribution channels, as well as develop new distribution channels/markets and develop new markets/channels and launch new products to achieve sales volume and market share goals.

The individual will provide region, unit and revenue forecasts that accurately reflect future demand within the region, interact positively with other functional organizations within company to achieve goals and in cooperation with the management.

Plan and establish sales goals and strategies, sales forecasts, and review actual results and variances from plans, taking corrective action as required.

The individual will collect competitive pricing information and make recommendations to HQ / APAC mgmt on pricing actions as well as develop and maintain budget and expense controls, cultivate high-level relationships with key accounts and priority customers.

Representing the company in a manner that builds trade quality and enhances a positive perception of business partnerships, penetrate new accounts at the senior level, interface with other key functions, as necessary, to ensure proper and sufficient support exists within the company for sales and marketing efforts, help foster an environment of teamwork and participation; and work closely with Product, Channel Marketing and training to maximize the SanDisk value proposition.

This position requires the individual to achieve market-share leadership in key markets and product/channel categories as well as achieve/exceed revenue targets on a quarterly and yearly basis.

The individual must also be a self starter with the ability to work on there own initiative, have excellent negotiation skills with a drive to collaborate with others in the pursuit of common objectives is required and the ability to coordinate priorities and initiatives is required as well as excellent planning and problem solving skills.

This position requires fluency in Local Eastern Languages like Bengali.
